Vikal didn't set out to build a coffee company. He was trying to fix something that stopped working.
It started on trading floors in New York. High pressure. Fast decisions. No room for mistakes. Coffee was part of the system. And at first, it worked. Sharp. Focused. Locked in.
Until it didn't.
The crash was real. Energy would spike… then drop. Focus would fade at the worst moments. After lunch, it was harder to stay sharp. At night, it was harder to sleep.
Outside of work, the pattern followed him. Before basketball or training, coffee elevated everything. First half — great. Second half — gone.
And slowly, something deeper changed. He couldn't wake up early the same way anymore. Meditation became harder. The body was no longer balanced. It was overstimulated… then compensating.
And something else became clear. The system wasn't random. It was designed. Fast food had already figured this out. Salt makes you thirsty. Sugar sells the drink. Coffee started to feel similar. Stimulation… followed by compensation. Up… then down. Again and again.
So the question changed: What if coffee became the delivery system for performance?
Years later, in Barcelona, he saw a different standard. Coffee was cleaner. More intentional. In Silicon Valley, he met people who engineered their energy. They optimized sleep, breath, cognition, endurance. Coffee didn't fit. It was incomplete.
So he rebuilt it.
